I am replacing the timing belt on a ’97 with the F22B2. Everything is going just fine except that I can not break the crankshaft pulley-retaining bolt free. I’ve used my impact gun and a 24” breaker bar. Has anyone run into a similar issue? If so how did you finally remove the bolt?
According to the manual Honda uses a special tool to hold the crankshaft pulley via the 50mm hex in it. Last night I didn’t have one. This afternoon over lunch I will make one in the tool room here at work. May be this will help.

I just use a 1000 ft-lb impact gun to remove it. Have done two Civics three 3g Preludes. Some people on other sites will have a shop break it loose then go home and finish the job then take it back to have it tightened with the impact.
