check engine light on, no speedometer, and the sport light is on, what's up
While on Vacation my son cleaned up his Mom's 91 Honda Accord, (Cleaned carpet) when he picked us up at the airport everything was fine, after dropping him off at his home, as we were driving down the interstate, the speedometer stopped working, the sport light on the dashboard started flashing, and the check engine light came on, we pulled over onto the emergency lane to check things out, didn't find anything so we started on the way home, after driving a couple of miles the same thing happened again, What could cause these things to happen at the same time???? Thanks Steve

Check all your fuses you could possibly have a short like had in my 94' LX. Check your battery fuse its a big relly I blew mine and went kinda funky for a while...still worked but once I shut it off I couldnt get it to turn on again. But I would check all your fuses because the only other thing I could think off was if your RPM's are still workin then its a mechanical problem with your speedometer since they run off the same connection. But check all your fuses thats my best bet

Follow these instructions to pull check engine code: http://www.dhost.info/accordinfo/howto/cel.html
Did the cruise control stop working when this happened?
I'm guessing that the vehicle speed sensor is bad since the ECU and TCU started flashing.
Get the codes first and diagnose before you change parts!
