hmmm interesting so my 03 coupe has 100k miles on it and its time for an oil change should i stick with the recommended 5w 20 or bump it up to 5w 30??? and should i go synthetic

Look in your manual. The 20 or 30 is mainly dependant on weather conditions.

You can go synthetic but it may cause leaks b/c you are around 100k. If your car begins to leak oil, switch back to dino oil. I use Penzoil High Mileage.

I have been using Amsoil 5w-30 in my 98 accord for over 110K (currently 174K). I change it between 15 and 25K. Never any issues with Amsoil. They also make a 25k filter which makes life convenient.

mobil 1 synthetic is the way to go!

I use Valvoline Maxlife Syn Blend in both of my Hondas.
10w30 in the money pit
5w30 in the 2000LX
