Default Maintenance Minder or Honda Recommended service !!!

Little confused.

I have an 2006 Accord Coupe V6. On the topic of servicedo I...

1. Follow the maintenance minder only or
2. Follow the maintenance minder and the "Honda Recommended service schedule" (that over priced brochure at the dealer describing what type of service to be performed, like lubricating the anetenna)

For my 2005 Accord 4cyl sedan what book do I purchase so I can tell the dealer what service should be performed ?

Judging by folks on Bobistheoilguy.com who used the maint. minder and then sent the oil in for analysis, it seems to be quite accurate. Same for the ones from GM.

Is there a SPECIFIC oil spec for that?

I'm familiar with the similar thing on Saab. The oil-life monitor doesn't actually measure anything about the oil. It simply counts hours, revolutions, cold starts, hot starts, WOT time, whatever. In the case of the Saab, if you don't use an oil meeting GM-LL-025 or whatever, then the oil may be 'worn out' sooner than the monitor's calculations.

to be safe i would reconmand a 3,500 mile oil change. And if you wanna be super cheap then change the filter every other oil change.
