So i was looking at my coupe today and i cant seem to figure out how to remove the grille so i can install my type R grille i got from ebay, the site says its direct bolt on, but im not sure it is... can anyone help... im a newbie here, and a newbie accord driver... pls help

 

also the grille looks like its attached to the bumper... but not sure, as u can see i need to be directed the right way on this one.

 

If its an 01 then it's already a part of the bumper. You'll have to dremel out your stock one or get a 98-00 bumper and then use the new grill.

 

i have an 04, but what i did to put my grille in was dremmel out the side pieces. it takes a steady hand, which i dont have. but its really not that hard. and the grille covers any mistakes that i made.

 

oh so id have to cut my bumper... thats wrong, so if i get the 98-00 bumber would it fit on my 01? thats cool, they make front lips for the 98-00 ones anyways that would work, i like the whole three peice grille things on the bumpers instead of the big one in the middle, well please let me know if i can swap an 01 bumper for a 98-00 one. thanks all for the response

 

yes you can swap for a 98

 

only 98? does it matter if its a 99, 00?

 

also do i need a diffrent bumper mount or whatever its called?

 

98-00 are the same, no you won't need a new mount.
