I dont think that they would confiscate your car for blacked out lights... Or even write you a ticket the first time you were stopped for it... Its not illegal as long as they can see them from 500ft away... The only way I could see a ticket being given is if you recieved a warning and did not get it taken care of... Thats what happened to me anyhow... After I got a warning, I just stripped them and re-did them...

If he is going for the look in the picture above, then theirs no way... Its not even the tails that are blacked out, just the reverse lights right???

If a body shop does it, then the cops can't do anything. The only thing they can hassle you about are the GTS style covers. If it's sprayed on, then all you're left with is a DOT approved and stamped lense. They can't give you any crap for that. There's no way to know that it didn't come stock.

Advance Auto can order a can and Oreillys sometimes has it in stock.

Depends how dark you go.

Oreillys usually has it in stock, if you dont see it out on the rack, ask one of the employees to check the back for you... It will be somewhat dimmer, but I was still able to see mine with 5 coats(which is really blacked out)...
