blinker fluid???? i dont think there is such a thing. depending on how old the lights are i would worry about the bulb itself. its prolly time for a new bulb

*ROFL* I've used that one before (that doesn't exist by the way...).... tell him it wasn't the blinker fluid it was a problem with the Rear Reflector Ball Fluid needed a new cap. so the auto store told you that you need a radiator cap for a 72 VW Bug to fit the fluid resevoir and ask him to find you one of those....

As far as your blinkers, providing your covers aren't dirty (inside or outside) you may have a bad/weak ground I've never seen them actually dim due to needing a bulb replaced but I suppose that's an option....

That is one of the most common "misleading" pieces of advice I've seen given out to people who don't have much experience..... My uncles at the lumber mill used to send new guys from one side of the plant to the other looking for a board strecher.... the whole plant was in on it (big place...) and would be like "nope sorry I loaned that to bill over in..... that's just on the other side of the plant..." so away they would go only to be sent away again....
