Default Body kit or NO body kit. That is the question.

I've been driving myself NUTS lately trying to decide whether or not to get a body kit. I've decided that if I do, it will be fiberglass. Thing is, my car's due for a paint job anyways, so I was just going to get the kit and THEN get the paint job. The kit's $420 and the paint job is going to cost $500. (I know the people.) Technically, the car was free for me since it was a gift. So it would be like I would be paying only a little less than $1000 for it finished. I was just wondering if it would be worth the money or should I just leave it stock.

Here are some pics of my car and then two pics of the body kit I'm getting. (One of front bumper and one of back bumper)

No dont, body kits were played out 5 years ago. If you want to do something just get a lip kit. Money could be well spent elsewhere.

True. Thanks for your input. I think I'll go with your advice. Save me lots of money I can put towards an exhaust system.

Found one for $53. Made of ABS material. How well will it hold the paint?

ABS is fine, it will hold paint fine, its just more fragile than say polyurethane.

I know urethane will absorb impact better, but it doesn't hold paint very well. And if I'm buying the lip for looks, then I don't want to buy one that wont mix well with my paint.

I'm not done looking, of course. I'm still looking for some.

Get a body kit. Fiber glass because if it cracks you can fix the cracks. With polyurethane if the plastic tears then you can't fix it. But to each his/her own. I have an AIT Wondrous kit on my 7th gen sedan.

Booba860 is right. A body kit looks nice. Just as long as it fits the contour of you car.
