I just purchased a 2014 Honda Accord. I added bodyside molding with an appointment on Monday so they can install it. Apparently, it is permanent (riveted into the doors) and so cannot be removed.

I got it because the parking lot at work is -very- tight. The molding will help but I still expect dents eventually.

Did anyone get molding installed by the dealer?

Is it usually stick-on or riveted?

 

Honda side moldings are held on with adhesive strip.

Thanks for the link, mate! I thought he said "rivet" but maybe it was "template"

So I gather they can be removed, but I guess the paint may be discolored underneath if I did. I will probably get them and leave them be.
