Default caliper painting ?

Do i have to remove the calipers or can i just paint them on the car? Is there anything i should be careful of or any tips i should know. Also is it possible to get the exact color (san marino red) of my car in a can or am i going to have to settle on a close match?

Its possible to clean them on the car, although no ideal. Just got to make sure they are cleaned off real well. And I wouldn't let it just hang by the line. Make sure to tape off and cover anything you don't want red, IE your rotor, fender, piston, etc.

You could bring it to a place like napa that will "color match" it. But it'll cost a lot more and I'm guessing you won't be able to tell the difference.

It would help for sure, brake cleaner is the universal cleaner I use for everything, so why not use it for what its intended for. Just make sure to wash it all off before trying to paint it.
