I liked the pics of your PIAA 940 lights so much that I ordered some myself for my '97 EX.
Was this a DIY project, or did you have them professionally installed? Curious to know if you were able to mount the lights into some steel on the bumper, or just in the plastic? Also, did you have to cut out any of the plastic in the bumper to make them fit?
So overall, how do you like them? I commute on a very narrow and steep road and hope they will help light things up.

Definitely went the DIY way. I mounted the lights onto the bumper with custom brackets I had a made by a friend. I will post a picture of it before I painted it black.

I drilled holes into the plastic and used nuts and bolts to secure them. I've noticed absolutely no shaking or vibrations on the lights when I drive even though it's on the plastic. I did have to use a file and shave down the plastic only about 1/4 inch to make them fit perfectly. I've been using the lights now since October 09 and think that they're great for the back roads and on the high way. The driving lights are twice as bright as my low beams and need to buy new 9006's to match. The amber fog's are great too in thick thick fog.

Also..I painted the Piaa light covers black to blend in with the bumper and hide that they are piaa, although i did buy the Piaa light locks..no need to advertise them to crooks lol.

 

Great, love to see some pics of the brackets. Did you have to remove the bumper? Also, was mounting the switch on the dashboard easy? I hope the install is not too complicated or I might just have to pay someone else to do it!

I recently bought new Sylvania Sivlerstar Ultra 9006s and while they are no HIDs, they are significantly brighter than the regular bulbs that were in there. Definitely worth the $50.
