Fixed the idle problem. I needed to clean the throttle body really well. There was a lot of stuff stuck to the sidewalls and sensor outlets inside. I also found out that it was the break master cylinder that was making the breaks weak. (no pressure at all) So I bought a new one, thankfully it was only a $50 day with the master cylinder and cleaners instead of hundreds if I had to replace the ICV. Very thankful. THe check engine light is still on for whatever reason though...I'll have to have them re-check it...might still be the MAP sensor area.

Regardless, it is in near road running condition. The DMV closest to me is closed for the weekends, so I'll go and get it registered and licensed on monday and hopefully they will have time/extra people there so I can take my driving test as well. Well, okay that is a little optimistic. lol At least it runs, and runs well. cannot wait to get to really drive it down the highway...oh, and get it painted sometime soon as well... there is always that.

Oily condition suggests excessive blowby or PCV system not functioning correctly. Clean or replace PCV and make sure PCV hose and PCV air intake line are clear.

good luck

Thanks TexasHonda, I'll be sure to check that as well!

Okay, so I went about charging the A/C system today and came into some problems. I borrowed my fathers aluminium A/C manifold gauge set and the, I think, system pressurizer. it is used with an air compressor to see if there are any leaks and to evacuate the system of pressure I think? I don't know. I had my father there to help me do it. The problem was that all of the fittings needed new o-rings. they were all bad. thankfully I already had a fresh pack of o-rings for that. But while I was charging it I noticed that the A/C pump and A/C fan (on the radiator) were not turning on at all. I know that the a/c pump/compressor is good because it turned on before!

I vaguely remember planning on replacing two broken red connectors that didn't go to ANYTHING (that I could see) on the drivers side by the Headlight/marker/turnlight, as it happens, it is on that same assembly of wires too. There are two hot (always) white wires, and then 4 (two on each plug I assume) hot when the ignition is on, and then 2 (one on each I guess) that are grounds. Then I have a red wire that plugged into something and it pulled right out of that cluster of wires with a gold push in connector on each end. I'm not even going to guess what that was/is for. So I need to look at the wiring diagram and see where it goes...if I can find that out. Any ideas?
EDIT: I found this on justanswer.com in regards to another problem, but this is what I needed to see. Now I just need to find that on a 95-97 accord. It's great now that I see what I need. I'll try and find that during the week sometime...hopefully. I'll need to be lucky, I need wire, connectors, and that post/bracket.

I did however find a guy who supplies the rest of the local shops with car glass and he said that I can buy the windshield direct from him for $140 installed with new molding, but I have to reuse my clips. (not sure what that means though). That is WAY cheaper than safelight. I'll likely have enough for that by next Friday. So that'll be great. I plan on getting the plates and registration for it tomorrow if all goes as planned.

More electrical problems, less mechanical problems. So I think I'm tipping it back onto my plate. I can manipulate the electrical problems easily enough if I can just find those two connectors (off of another car) and find out where in the world they might go...unless they plug into each other???

Okay! I went to the wrecking yard and they must have been hiding these cars somewhere because I found 5 more 94-97 accords, even one nearly complete 95 manual 4cyl! It even has the unmolested wiring kit for the airbags, I think I'll go back this weekend and get those as well as the airbag computer. Would have grabbed those too, but I didn't I didn't have a 6 point wrench with me at the time.

The good news is that I found 3 of the electrical relays while perusing the isles. they wanted $30 for both relays and the two electrical clips! I had to talk him down because they were 'new' for only $35 online and they offer lifetime warranty. If he can't go down for a 17 y/o part then I wasn't going to buy anything from them. He brought the bill down to $40 total.

I bought:
1 inner fender
1 relay w/ wires
1 hood latch cable
2 a/c line caps
bunch of screws and molding screw/anchors for the body
1 Found the little circle window guide that is in the top of the 2dr model driver/passenger windows!!

He was wanting $36 for the A/C condenser fan off of a 19 y/o car. It had never been replaced and the blades were not in top shape. (yellowing and you could see the plastic was wearing out...becoming brittle) I tried to get the price down on that because new in town they are $45 w/o tax, but they are brand new OEM (or close enough), but he wouldn't budge. His loss. lol

Nice of his to set up like that

Sounds like you've got the relay(s) - Cond Fan and AC Compressor - sorted out now....or will with the help of the new ones.

Yeah, I have one more wire to join and then I get to connect the battery. The moment of truth! I had one wire that didn't match anything on the new relay. The wire that is on the A/c Compressor is red with one silver mark and the other wire that goes to the relay is red with two silver marks. I connected these two together because it was the only logical connection, the other red wire I had to choose from was red/blue with one silver mark and that has a twin already. So I assume that the connection I made will work, if not I have to replace the fuse and try again! lol

Tomorrow I'm going to the DMV to take the written and driving portion of the test! I've been driving 11 month with a permit and I think that I'm past being ready. I've already passed the practice test with no mistakes and no retries. Should be really easy. When I took the written exam for the permit I missed 1/3 of a 3 part question and passed with a 98% in the past 11 months I have only come close to 2 accidents, both not my fault. (someone turned into a one way street heading at me and the other tried to change lanes into the side of the car I was driving) Learned how to parallel park in 45 minutes...okay, enough rambling. Off to relax the rest of the night.
