Default Has anyone here put new seat covers on?

I'm not talking the cheapy seat protector covers that you see at walmart or advance auto, I'm talking about the full kits that replace your seat covers..

My car is currently at a beater status, but I've ended up replacing almost everything mechanical on the car (except trans- manual is sitting, waiting to go in).. The only thing left to do on it would be the exterior, interior and wheels.

I'm looking at throwing in a new carpet, and replacing my seat covers with synthetic leather, as you see all over ebay.

Has anyone Done this before? I'm not going for show quality car, but for another grand, I can make my car look and feel like it's new again, so I might get my mind off replacing it with something newer.

Brendan.

I got real leather covers for my 98 Accord LX sedan from barbari.com for $500. They were really easy to install, and look better than the stock cloth. I have had them almost a year, they wear and clean really well.

hey man i saw pix of your wreck and all I can say is "That'll buff right out"

If you get a newer accord stay away from the 98-02 models unless you can get or purchase a 100K powertrain warranty..those trannies are J U N K

Sorry to hear about your wreck.. I wanted to add that you should not purchase a 96 or 97 accord model if it has a check engine light problems. These models have an emission warranty that doesn't mean anything. The cars have issues with codes and ECM problems. These cars should of been recalled and fixed correctly so that they can be driven legally on the road today. Good luck in finding a car and hopefully you were not hurt in any way.
