Default Hid installation help

ACCORDING TO THIS TUTITORIAL, THE WATERPROOF GROMMIT APPEARS TO BE LEFT HANGING OUTSIDE OF THE LENS CASE.
IT LOOKS LIKE THE 9006 BULB SCREWS IN AND THE GROMMIT IS JUST HANGING WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS.
THE INSTRUCTIONS WITH THE DDM HID'S ARE NOT GOOD IMO BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY GENERAL AND REVEIW MANY DIFFERENT SET UPS.
OTHER THAN THAT, IT LOOKS LIKE A PLUG AND PLAY.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

Grommet is left hanging, along with the high-beam wires harness. If you really want to you can just cut the rubber grommet off.

They put it there for headlights that don't come with a rubber grommet to seal the bulb. And the high beam harness is there for their high beam controller module.

thanks.

i left the grommit on.

the lights are in and they look outragious. i did the pass side first and because it was so sunny, i thought it didn't work when i turned them on. the light is so pure whitish blue as compared to the standard halogens.

on the drivers side, i removed the small duct, battery clamp, battery, and battery tray. the installation was then easy.

can't wait for some night driving.

thanks for all of your help.

Noice! Yeah, even at night, looking at them from an angle, they don't really look like they're on.

I love the look of 8000k, I know they aren't the best color but I love them and have 8000ks for the past three years. It feels so weird when I get in a car without HIDs, I feel like I can't see.

That was going to be my first choice (8000k) but i finally gave in to 6000k. Hopefully i don't regret it lol.
