So basically, all I would have to do is buy the HID kit from any store/website?

The kits come with the bulbs, ballasts and wiring...as far as I know, anything else I should be looking for within each kit?

HID kits draw less power than stock headlights. they use 35 wats as opposed to 55. ive never had any trouble with heat. i use my lights alot even when i dont need them like during the day. im not sure how long they usually last but ive had mine on since last christmas.

Supposedly they last three times longer than the normal halogen bulb. And since most bulbs last almost the life of the car you can expect these to at minium to do the same. Regardless, if the bulb goes, it may still be under warentee, or u just buy another bulb, no need to replace the ballest.

Heres the guy i got my lights from, they come with a warentee from the seller. for one year. pretty good i think

what do you mean by top light? the amber parking lights? or the high beams? my high beams are still yellow because i didnt bother to get HID's in them since i dont use them. the amber parking light is a totally different bulb so you just have to change those bulbs
