the little button securing my hand brake is a bit worn out on my 94 accord.. i was wondering if anyone knows how it comes off because i just recently bought a momo replacement (momo pit stop air metal).. and how to secure a boot to it too.. cheers!
i had to take whole center thing off, and slice around the rubber of the hand brake with a razor, and then slipped the boot over...On mine the button stayed in tact....There should be hardware included to secure it all... My brand of choice is ISOTTA. an italian brand like Momo... I had to order and have it shipped from over seas.

what do you mean by the button staying intact? does the handbrake come with its own button? by the look of the box it doesnt look like it comes with hardware to help me secure it to the car.. i took out the entire centre dash so the 3 wires were exposed and the stock handbrake (the gray plastic bit) didnt seem like it could be removed easily.. did you just slice it all off with a razor?
Yeah, I had to slice around that rubber for my new shift and boot to fit over it. The button stayed on in my case and the new button that came with me kit just pushes on the stock button to function.
Thanks

arent there screws that hold the plastic onto the handbrake? i dont really wanna slice the thing off! and it sucks that you cant change the button.. i went to look at the momo hand brake at the shops and yeah it didnt even come with a button which blows coz i went around afterwards trying to look for a button but i dont think momo make just buttons for handbrakes.. kinda stupid they dont chuck it in there with the handbrake..
