I actually did some research this time, and basically what i am trying to do is get the whole interior of my car black. Eventually i was to customize it, but for now i just need it black - I found a website where i could order a kit - and i was wondering if the kit was the only way to go or not - plus they are asking 131.20 and shipping is that a good price or could i find better -

You can get the dash kit, but you'll also need to figure out how to get the plastic under the armrest, glove box and knee panels black as well.

 

it would be cheaper to buy a few cans of spray paint ..... wouldn't need to pay shipping either.

 

^x2, there is someone on the forum that is doing just that right now and it seems to be turning out nicely, he's having a few issues but it seems to be going ok. LOTS of work though... scroll through some pages on the detailing/interior section, if you can't find it I'll look.

 

That is for carpet. Vinal may need a different type of paint. And yeah, I was surprised, but it looks great!

 

re-check the thread, he's doing all the parts, dash, side beams, roof liner, doors etc.

My bad .... I guess the before and after shots are all I really focused on.

 

Would the paint wear off eventually? If it is cheaper that would be great - but at the same time i wouldnt want the pauint to peel or anything like that. At any rate what kind of paint would i actually need for the dash and everything else?

Oh yeah and i read the post - and i noticed he is painting the carpet but lets say i am going to be lazy about that - where could i find an actual carpet replacement?

 

just search google, you can find them from various places, either that or try a junk yard.
