Default invisible bras

Anyone apply one to their car? I just got a new coupe, and was wondering if this would help protect the finish in the front. Not sure if I would like the visible seam where it ends, but that'd be better than a big ol' chip. Also, is one better than the other? The ebay one's seem kinda cheap to me. And if this has been posted, sorry. Did a search and didn't come up with anything.

The LeBra's that I have seen after they have been taken off the car seem to make the paint scratch and also dull the finish...do any of you other members have more input on this subject??

I think he's talking about the ones made by 3M that are essentially a clear piece of plastic that is adhered to your hood. It's nearly invisible, but is supposed to protect the hood and paint from rock chips and the like. I was also wondering about these and didn't know if anybody had experience with them.

I personally don't but what I can tell you is that the Helicopters in iraq use something similar on their windows... They had/have issues with the flying sand literally sandpapering their windows so they put multiple layers of that clear plastic over them and as one gets "foggy" they take it off and have clear windows again... so if the military uses it for combat helicopters I'd imagine the theory is sound and should work on a car... I've never used it personally but I like the idea
