I know that HID bulbs are slightly larger than halogen bulbs and they burn hotter. Do any of you know where I can purchase the JDM black headlights for my car that will fit the HIDs and stand the heat output of the bulbs?

 

ebay/forums are your bets bet to find the blackhoused headlights, and either those or your stock ones will work with HIDs fine.

 

stock halogen = 55W
standard HID = 35W

Which do you think makes more heat?

 

Im about to order my B/housing as soon as i get paid... Found some on ebay for 75/14 shipping.

 

DIY blackhousing is far superior to anything you can buy. The light output supposedly sucks on the ebay blackhoused lights.

And yes, HID don't burn "hotter"

 

I would of course rather a black housing,with a retrofit..

 

I like the idea of a new headlight as opposed to my yellow fogged headlights.

 

Clean them and sell them..Quick money

 

Or you could just clean them and use them.
