Default Lips

Ive seen an influx of lips for my gen of Accord that usually are not on eBay. Most are roughly $70 w/ shipping and are ABS plastic. They say easy installation, but I will believe that when I see it.

My question is how do you install them, and do spray paints that match factory specs (usually round $25-$30) be ok to paint a lip instead of having a paint shop do it?

I'd also like to know about ABS plastic lips also. I've gotten mixed answers that they crack easily but then they dont. I was looking at the "mugen style" lips since its more cheaper than those kaminari lips which I was thinking of going for.

Do not get an ABS lip. It will crack and fall apart on you. After having my lip for about 11 months, 3 cracks later and one dip too hard at a ski lodge parking lot on Sunday and the lip was done. I just removed it and installed the polyurethane version i had waiting in my porch. Took an hour from beginning to end removing the bumper and lip, drilling holes in the new one and reinstalling everything. Just need it painted. Both were Mugen.

I thought ABS plastic would be pretty though. Isnt the side moldings and side skirts ABS?

So for installing, were you drilling into metal or what? Did you have to remove the black plastic under the bumper coverthat usually scrapes on parking blocks?

no ABS plastic is crap for a front lip and stock ground effects are polyurethane. I had to drill bolt holes in the urethane lip since it didnt with them predrilled. you remove the factory front lip and the new one just goes in its place with nuts and bolts.
