NEED HELP!! REGARDING NOKYA BULBS
Hi everyone. Hope your day is going well. I just got a pair of nokya artic white bulbs for my 1996 accord ex. The problem is, when i bought it i was told it was a 55W draw, which is the same as oem. Now i just opened it up and it has stamped on them 80W draw. Has anyone installed this high of a wattage bulb using the stock wire harness? Or should I not even risk it? Thanks for any help you may be able to give.

The fuse should blow before the wires go providing you've got the proper fuse installed... however, I don't know if I would risk it.... I HIGHLY doubt you'll hurt the wiring but you may blow the fuse...
thanks alot for your help. I felt bored so i installed them anyways. Maybe not the best choice but I'll suffer the consequences later if it was a mistake. I was told that nokya bulbs utilize a stock wattage draw, despite what is stamped on the bulbs. I was a little uneasy about believing that, but my friend has 80W bulbs on his civic using stock harness and has not had any problems. So i guess we'll see later. Thanks again.

Get rid of your nokya bulbs. They are ****. Made in Korea, aka Daewoo (Daepoo) and Kia (Killed In Action). Spend a little bit more money and get something better like PIAAs, or Mtecs. Mtecs can be found at blinglights.com and another good place to look is automotivelightingusa.com i got the luminics pureblues they lasted about 4 months till both burnt out on me in the same night. just a headlight junkies opinion
wow, first post and already cursing, how quaint, anyways, 80watts generally wont burn out the harness or a fuse i think they can handle a little more then 110watts, but its dependent on the current draw of the bulb
