Newbie - Electrifying a '91 Accord
I marked and drilled the rims, marking the back side of each disk with the corner position and valve stem location, in case the Moon-drilled holes weren't exactly 120° apart.
Anyway - the finish - looks good, huh? I got my local Sherwin-Williams paint store to match the existing faded paint, and mix me up some oil-based "all-surface" enamel.
The Moon disks, as supplied, have fairly deep concentric machining grooves; part of the spinning process and as a stylistic element. So - lots of primer and block-sanding. Then, ROLLED-ON perhaps a dozen layers of 50/50 thinned enamel; usually one or two a day. Then a week to dry, and 600, 1000, then 1500 grit wet-sanding. Then rubbing compound, polishing compound, and a couple coats of Turtle wax.
Also, note where the side-view mirrors used to be - the edges of that little triangular panel are original; the center section I created with fiberglas and Bondo.

Now an inch-and-a-half lower - may settle more with driving and a tank of gas - it's empty now. Next is an air dam annd side skirts made from vinyl baseboard material -
As I was under the car, I checked transaxle level because it was getting hard to shift - was almost a quart and a half low - from 2 qts, I think. Leaking out.

Those skirts are worth an honest 2+ mpg -
First fill-up last night appended to bottom of list below; the whole tank was with the new skirts; same commute, same speed, same gas station, same pump even as I usually use.

Set toe-in to zero, 45 psi in all the tires, loaded up with eldest daughter and a full trunk; headed from Atlanta to Maryland for Thanksgiving. Mostly interstate; steady 70 mph on the cruise.
530 miles to first fill-up 'til it spewed out; 39.58 mpg exactly
Can I call that 40?

I love it. It totally works with the electric concept. I've always thought they looked kinda futuristic. You've gotta get us some pictures soon!
