Default Opinions on 97 Accord height and look

Hey guys just got a 97 Accord in great condition. I am looking for opinions on the look. I have the idea of a 2" drop with 17's. If anybody is running this or a similar setup id love to see some pics for a reference. And if anybody has any better ideas i would love to hear them. I don't want to be scraping the ground I just enjoy the look of stuffed wheel wells with little to no gap.

Here is a pic of the bone stock car.

Thanks in Advance.

Here's some pics of my car. Currently dropped around 2.5" on 17x8 +35 5Zigen FN01R-Cs.

Wow that looks good. I like that setup, I didn't realize I would have to go so low. Are you running coilovers?

Yes I am. I am on Koni Yellow shocks, and Ground Control coilover sleeves. And you do have to drop Accords quite a bit.....they are monster trucks at stock height.

And here's a pic from a meet where I cranked the suspension down to 3".

You should go at least 2 inches. This was mine on eibach sportlines which i think is 1.7in drop or so on 17s. Still a noticeable gap.

I was previously on Sportlines too. They were fine with stock EX wheels, but you'll definitely want to go lower with 17s.

In general (I know there are some other factors) how low can you go with 17's? Without any major rubbing? Without doing anything else.

It all depends on the specs of the wheels......the width and offset, in addition to the tire size you will be running. Post the specs of wheels you are looking at, and we can tell you if you'll rub or not.

And I would get your fenders rolled, just in case. Its worth it, so you don't accidentally cut into your tires.

ive got a friend witha 97 coupe on 18's and shes told me plenty of times not to go with anything bigger than a 17 because of where the wires are located shes actually worn through a couple of them from the tires rubbing and knocking the wires around when she goes over bumps at times and her car isnt even lowered
