Default Paintin the chrome around windows?

Hi,
'99 2-door Accord v-6. I'd like to paint the chrome around my windows to match car color (black). Surface prep? Paint type? Application process-spray vs. brush on? Any tips, suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm still looking for info...I've been told of a paint that would corrode or etch the chrome,to help it adhere to the chrome surface. Anyone have info or advice about that paint, or a better idea?

Why not just tape it up?

Thanks, that's an option. Black electricians tape? Or black duct/gorilla tape? Anyone know how long the tape stays on?

When I had the tape on my headlights before it never came off. I live in MN so the weather is crazy cold in the winter and boiling in the summer.

The only problem with using elec tape is that when you're applying it to the parts closer to the rear the chrome thickens out so you'll have to play around with different sizes and cutting. If you do it nicely you won't notice unless you go up and stare at it, but that doesn't bother me.

If you want it cleaner they do make a blackout tape that is thicker for that purpose. Do some search on google.
