Default School me on 5th Gen Headlight / Taillight mods

Hey all,

Can all you mod experts out there give me some insight on how to go about upgrading my headlight and tailight assembly on my 5th gen.

Is there a site I can look at examples?
What the price range of moding them out?
Is it a DIY type of thing?
What do you PERSONALLY suggest as far as what you think looks good?

I currently have stock and kinda hate the orange.

thanks

well for tail lights there are mainly 3 options, LED, altezza, or just tint them.

headlights there are a few different options. you can buy projector headlights. intall HIDs, or get the JDM black housing ones.

I Personally have APC Carbon Fiber tail lights, but i am kinda growing away from them so I am going to tint my stock ones. I also plan on getting the JDM headlights and get HIDs installed, but those are just my personal opinions.

I know most people on here will tell you to buy these things off ebay, but I am always happy to fork over extra cash for a brand name.

Price wise, for name brand its about 2-3 hundred for tail lights, same for headlights, but you can get them on ebay for probably under 100.

If you hate the orange you can get euro corners and turn signals, its what i have, they are clear, pretty cheap, not sure exactly how much though.

as for do it yourself ability. changing out tail lights is about as simple as you can get. headlights a little trickier, but still easy.

Installing tail lights are really really easy. I got mine for 90 bucks. There are alot of different looks, like live2rice said.

As for headlights, I am going to get black 1 piece halo projectors in the near future! As for installation, ive never done it and am not really to worried except for aiming them.

WELL YOU HAVE A LOT OF OPTIONS!!

headlight examples:
- 1 piece halo projectors
- halo projectors w/ corners sold seperate
- jdm diy black housing(the route i went)

taillight examples:
- there are like 20 different types of euro lights
- NightShades paint your tails diy
- depending on exactly what year you have you can just clear out the turn signals(route i went)

it really all depends on if you are going for the jdm look... or the i guess you could say ricey look.. or whatever you want. you need to decide on how much money you want to spend(if any) and what you want your car to look like in the long run. i came into my car with an idea and i stuck with it. now i love my car. you should do the same.

The tailights I have are Jaguar style, you might be able to find them on eBay, they are usually listed under "Altezza" but they definitely dont look like regular Altezzas. You can see a pic in my gallery.

man your car looks nice. I like your tails. I have a 96 and the tails also are on the trunk lid. I wonder how that would work out
