Default tail light gap

alright...so i have a 97 accord and just put in some new tail lights. only problem is that on the driver side, there's no gap inbetween the 2 lights. so they rub. the passenger side is perfect, but i just have no clue what else to do. I've tried taking it off and pushing it in more, but nothing. any help?

What tail lights are they?

Mine are very picky, and I had to keep taking them off and on to get it right. If you sit on my trunk lid or push down, on one side, the two pieces of the tail lights rams into each other. Oh well.

x2 to that!!! This is an appearance question ...... I made mine line up better with some small metal washers in the mounting bolts.

sounds like you bought cheap after market taillights. one of many reasons why i would never buy after market taillights.
