Default Wheel well rusting out!

So my wheel well has started to rust up a little and im sure its due to excess dirt all trapped underneath there locking moisture in which is pretty inevitable but I just want to know if anyone has any tips on how to slow down the rusting process or how to fix it. I also would like to know if anyone has had this problem and has paid an auto body to fix it and how much it would cost, approximately. I'm sure this has been posted here before but couldn't find anything surprisingly searching through this thread.

I do wax my car but that only helps the exterior paint, obviously dirt would come from the actual wheel well starting the rusting in there and working its way through the paint from the inside, so I know waxing isn't going to do anything. Thank you.

Check youtube for numerous videos on subject. Salted roads greatly accelerate corrosion in general. Gravel gets thrown against body and penetrates the paint leading to rust pit.

Body undercoatings do help. Again youtube is best resource.

good luck

por 15 makes great rust preventative products.

The general idea of removing rust is getting rid of it(grinding it off etc) then retreating the area.
