Default Wood/Chrome Dash Kits

Bought a new accord and love it and thought I would add some dash trim but I learned that the kits are stick ons that may not look very good. What do you guys think about these kits? Ever seen one installed?

What happens ifI do not like it and try to remove it??

Wooddashexperts offers a molded kit. Anyone ever seen one these in person?

FYI,the Honda post sales person told me honda does not even want to install their own after market kit because pieces fall off.

Comments?

My car had a kit on it when I bought it that I removed. It stayed on good but had yellowed with time. It took a buddy and I about 1-1.5 hours to remove the whole thing and we each had a blister from pelling the double sticky tape.

Next time use a hairdryer to heat up the glue. Then use a razor to cut the tape where necessary and goo gone to get off the remaining adhesive.

falcore24,

I think yours looks great!

Slammed97,

Why did you remove it? Was it peeling? not the right color?

Thanks a lot! I liked it! It was pretty easy to put on. One piece of advice though .... near the rounder part in the middle by the air outlets, heat the crap out of the plastic stuff that coats the wood. If you look closely, you can see where I got a couple of cracks. I heated the parts, but I guess I could've done more there ..... I'd say 10-15 minutes of continuous heat would be good.
