I understand that on the car they were made for that hte lighting is proper for the system that it works with, I'd just be concerned that the lighting isn't right for a retrofit system. Either way, if you do the mod, I'd pay someone to do it for you so they are liable and also to protect yourself physically.

peeps, since posting this topic, i have some serious concerns about this retrofit. especially the safety issue not only the airbag deploying during the mod, but especially if the darn thing does not deploy when it needs to because of the new parts graft (thanks for scaring me luck dragon--i don't want to meet the nothing prematurely as much as i can help it--LoL)...so, with that said, i have practiced feeling the audio and cruise control buttons at night, and believe it or not, i have gotten acclimated manipulating them in the dark...and rather than seeing this as a design flaw, i have come to accept this omission as something of a uniqueness, and by the same token have kept my accord closer to being 100% original as the factory had intended! https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/micons/m16.gif

I think that's a good decision ..... when it comes down to it, the buttons have a good layout.

CC: Top button to speed up & resume (speed up), bottom to slow down & set, middle to cancel
Radio: Top button to turn it up, botton to turn it down and middle to get that whinny love music out of the car!
