i had the exact same problem..this is what u do..call the nearest honda dealership and talk to the people in service. they should tell u to take ur car in so they can have a tech to look at it. HONDA KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM...they told me..then before u bring ur car in call america honda and talk to them about the problem. they will handle it for u. they will talk to the people at ur honda nearest dealership and after about a week u should get a new radio...
i had the same problem and honda replaced it.

they know about 2003 accord problems

I think that you should've conacted Honda of America like some people have suggested instead of spending money out of your pocket. But then again, it's your choice.

The 6-disc changer component of the radio has a PCB on it. This PCB powers the backlight on the LCD. If the 6-disc changer dies... so does the LCD display. Best suggestion - look on ebay for a 6-disc changer or a complete radio head unit to replace your existing one. Looks like you should be able to get one for under $100 if you find the right seller.

ive looked for new ones. theyre not cheap and you have to be one really lucky or really persistant person to find for one that cheap

I got it for $150, I think it's a good deal compared to the $450 and up that they have for "buy it now". Well as long as it works.

Honda nowcan justreplace just the Circuit Board. If you are over 100k it will cost less than $175.
