Default 2000 Accord Radio Size?

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, and it looks great. My first question is what size radio can I fit in a 2000 Accord taking the entire space that is available? Meaning the radio and bottom open area. And also if anyone has the exact dimension of width and height? Im receiving the car in a week and anticipating a radio change

Im looking to install this radio (link bellow) can this fit in the car?

Just replaced mine with a double din system. Go to Crutchfield.com and use the site's "Will This Fit?" I have always purchased from Crutchfield as they provided very detailed instructions on how to remove the old system and also how to install the new one. They also provide all the brackets and hardware as well as the wiring harness. Prices are good as well.

I have installed several car stereos and our model Accord is by far the easiest in terms of removing the old radio. Took less then 15 minutes..

Good Luck!

any double din head unit will fit, you just buy a mounting kit to fill in the gaps.

Thanks for the info I have another question. If I connect a Bazooka Sub to the car stereo sub-output, does the sub need its own power connection to the battery of the car?

yes. The only issues you will run into are:

Feeding the wire thru the firewall. (There is a gromment just above the gas pedal)

Finding a proper ground.
