Hey all! I just got a 2004 Accord LX. I know it's older but it was in such great shape and only had 80k miles on it so I couldn't pass it up. The only thing wrong with it was the factory radio would cut in and out.

So, I figured if I am going to replace the head unit i might as well go all out. Put an aftermarket DVD/GPS in it with the Metra unit that replaces the AC controls. I also got a pair of MTX 12in subs in an enclosure with a Planet Audio amp.

I've got the head unit installed without issues more or less. All I have left is to run the power and audio wires for the sub and amp. Before I started ripping out trim pieces I thought I'd ask to see what other people had done, and what works best with this generation accord.

most of us go through the firewall, there is usually a spot above the gas pedal on the firewall. look for a cutout on the firewall barrier (thick black with a foam backing).
