2007 Accord Navigation problems
Hey There members,
I just recently purchased a 2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6 with Navi from a friend of mine. I absolutely love the car, but i'm having a small issue with the navigation. Its pointing me hundreds of miles away when i look for a point of interest. For example, last night i wanted to find the nearest Dunkin Donuts location because it was late and i was out and just wanted a cup of coffee, anyway getting back to the point, it gave me an address like 3 or 4 hundred miles away. I think it gave me an Illinois address. (I live in NY!!!) does anyone know how to fix this? Its driving me crazy. If i put an address in it navigates fine, but finding a POI its giving me locations hundreds of miles away! PLEASE HELP! lol. Thanks to everyone in advance that can help me! |
Moved this where a better answer might come...

see if there is an option where you can set your location. I realize that it should know but wont hurt to check. also try reseting the system and/or updating it.
|
How do I reset it?
|
unhook the battery for a little while
|
I'm having the exact same problem with my '06 /w/navi..... any more ideas?
|
make sure you have your code before you unhook the battery
|
Anyone try this (unhook battery) and been successful for the nav to find you? Mine drives me nuts, wife hates the nav..... punch in a poi and it sends you to a place 300 miles from here!

It's been known to work on BMW Navi units. Worth trying on a Honda.

Here's a wild idea. How about reading the owner's manual to see how to set home base.
I think I read where you can download an owner's manual form Honda website. Check ebay for purchase of owner's manual if you don't have one. good luck |
