Default 2007 Accord Navigation problems

Hey There members,
I just recently purchased a 2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6 with Navi from a friend of mine. I absolutely love the car, but i'm having a small issue with the navigation. Its pointing me hundreds of miles away when i look for a point of interest. For example, last night i wanted to find the nearest Dunkin Donuts location because it was late and i was out and just wanted a cup of coffee, anyway getting back to the point, it gave me an address like 3 or 4 hundred miles away. I think it gave me an Illinois address. (I live in NY!!!) does anyone know how to fix this? Its driving me crazy. If i put an address in it navigates fine, but finding a POI its giving me locations hundreds of miles away! PLEASE HELP! lol. Thanks to everyone in advance that can help me!

see if there is an option where you can set your location. I realize that it should know but wont hurt to check. also try reseting the system and/or updating it.

Anyone try this (unhook battery) and been successful for the nav to find you? Mine drives me nuts, wife hates the nav..... punch in a poi and it sends you to a place 300 miles from here!

It's been known to work on BMW Navi units. Worth trying on a Honda.

Here's a wild idea. How about reading the owner's manual to see how to set home base.

I think I read where you can download an owner's manual form Honda website.

Check ebay for purchase of owner's manual if you don't have one.

good luck
