Default 2007 Accord OEM Head Unit Issues

So I am having trouble with the buttons on my head unit. The buttons for the HVAC system, the main power button, volume ****, and steering wheel controls all work. However the rest of the buttons on my head unit do not work 90% of the time, everyonce in a while they will work but very uncommon.

If anyone has had this issue then please leave any ideas you have, or if you have solved it please explain. Also anyone that has changed to an after market head unit please comment with which one you got, plus your thoughts on how the install went and if you would perchase it again, and if you replaced the OEM unit or if you went with the option to put it in the cubby under the HVAC controls.

Thank you for your time,

Charles.

Also this is the head unit I have:

Thank you for the detail. That model of head unit is known for failures (not made by Honda). A replacement is the recommendation, but you want to use the Metra kit that replicates the HVAC controls. This allows for a modern radio with BT capability. I like Kenwood for this application. Crutchfield is an excellent resource if you want to do this yourself, they will even make up the harness connections ahead of time making this literally plug-and-play.
