Default 6x9 adapater in accord

So, tonight while remounting my 6x9 pioneers from the top of the rear deck to the bottom, im pretty sure while having someone push down on the bolt that it pressed through and broke the speaker. (you can push on the coil and bottom of the speaker and it pops in & out as if it was disconnected from the center)

So, has anyone ever used 6.5 > 6x9 adapater in the accord? It's a 2004 coupe. Im going to be replacing the front 6.5 pioneers with infinity components and instead of buying brand new 6x9's I figured i could just move one of them into an adapter and into the rear.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

on a side note, can the stock head unit handle a 2 ohm load? just curious.

i've made several 6.5" adapters for 6x9 holes. I don't use or install 6x9's in general. it's the same process as the baffle you've already made, just a different hole in the center.

i'm still having a hard time picturing what you're describing. does it play? i think your terms are throwing me.

it is very unlikely the stock head unit will handle a 2 ohm load.
