you could always re-wire them to a seperate switch... or just run them to an igntion lead wire so they automatically come on when you start the car.... how do you want them to function? you control them or automatically?

The factory setting for the fog lights is they turn on only when you turn on your headlights, but I want to be able to turn them on indepently from the headlights by pushing the factory fog light switch on the dash. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

if there is already a switch on the dash there is a few ways to do it... both ways will be relativly easy if you have a voltage tester.... the fastest way per say would be to take a voltage tester (or just a test light) and find out which lead is your positive, clip that lead and wire both of the foglight leads together. Run those in and connect them to the foglight switch in the dash, then run another wire with an inline fuse to the positive battery terminal. Then whether the car is on or off you can hit the switch and turn them on/off, Downside: if you leave them on you could drain your battery...

Option 2: find the fog light fuse (I believe it is seperate from the headlights) pull the fuse out and determine where your hot lead coming into it is. Clip that lead, run a wire up to the switch then back down to the lead, now it will work only when the car is on and you choose to turn them on providing your fuses are setup like this (not sure...)

Option 3: Find a fuse that isn't used and works off the ignition, or even one that is and clip the wire on the "dead" side of it clip that wire and run it up to the switch then out to your fog lights, clip the power lead to your lights and wire this one into them, ensure you have the proper fuses... Now it will be seperate as well...

Let me know if that doesn't make sense...

Hey, I've got a 2001 Accord V6 Coupe. I'm having a heck of a time finding some sort of foglight kit or insert for the OEM placement of the foglights (the airducts). Any advice?
