Default 99 Accord after market stereo question.

Hello, I just bought a 99 Accord EX with a factory double din cd player, with a separate cassette player below. I am going to be installing a Pioneer single cd player. I know this will require an install kit that has a storage compartment that makes up for the extra space that the stock cd player took up. My question is what happens with the cassette player. Im sure it no longer works after that, so does an install kit have something to put in its place? Like maybe a simple plastic cover or another storage compartment? Or is that a separate kit Ill need to buy? I dont want the cassette player in the car anymore so I'm hoping there's an option to replace it. Thanks

You may want to post this in the audio visual electronics forum for a better answer. Gen tech help is more for car repair.

If you're referring to an add-on Honda cassette like the following:

Then to fill it, requires you to get the tray console like how it originally came before the add-on accessory.

See instructions for the add-on cassette, so you can tell how it was installed.

That's exactly what I have. It looks really complicated, so I might just leave the cassette player there.

I received my install kit and harness and finally got around to starting this project. After a long and bloody (literally) battle with a stripped screw I was able to get the cassette player out. And to fill that empty spot I cut out a piece of leather covered plastic from an old tablet case I had. It came out looking a lot better than I though it would. I attached a picture of it. Now just need to reassemble it all.
