Default Bluetooth transmitter in Accord 2007: why so much static?

I've bought 2 bluetooth transmitters for my 2008 Honda Accord off Amazon within the last 2 years.

The first transmitter stopped working as well as it did in the beginning: even when the stations are synced, there's a lot of static. I thought perhaps the first transmitter had worn itself out so I replaced it with another: the new one has a little static, too. Switching stations doesn't help much.

Could it be my car and not the transmitters? Why the static? I really don't understand what the problem is. These devices are beyond me...

Any FM transmitter will be garbage. That is really old tech using the lowest audio quality part of the radio.

What trim level? Some trims have an XM button that you can buy adapters for that don't use FM stations.

Thanks! It's a 2007 LE (I just realized I mistakenly put "2008" in my original post).

It's an LX... "XM" as in XM Radio?
