display screen scrambled

display screen scrambled
hello, own a 07 exl nav. display screen upon start up goes to green snow then black and white checkerboard. all display buttons are non functional with exception of hvac off and auto buttons.
steering wheel controls all work with exception of voice command and last screen buttons on the left. cruise controls are fine. anybody experience this and what did you figure out.
