Factory wiring or this?
Just a quick and simple question. I have this 16 AWG really nice wire my dad got from the left-overs of a super expensive home audio installation. My question is, is it worth it to run this stuff to my speakers as opposed to the factory wiring? The factory wiring is kinda chinsy and looks to be 18 AWG I think but I dont remember.

yes, i use CL2 or CL3 in-wall jacketed wire for my install as well. i love it.
that is 4 conductor wire, so great for running left and right to the rear or front in one bundle. but you need to split off with 2 channel. if you have so much you can run it to every speaker, feel free.
here is my color code for 4 conductor wire.
xmas
black&white
right +: Red
right -: Green
left +: White
left -: Black
reason? for low voltage: red is positive, black is negative. this way you don't combine green and white and then wonder what is what.

Tyler are you talking about running it to the speakers from your head unit?
If so it will not make a difference and would be a waste of time.
I am pretty sure KHA was thinking you had an aftermarket amp.

Yea thats what I meant crispin. I asked my dad and he said the same thing. Was just curious and thought it couldnt hurt to ask. Definetly using this stuff for my amp speaker wire though. Its perfect for that.
