Firewall opening to run amp cable
Does anyone know of any openings already or reconmendations to run a 4 guage cable to the battery for my amp. If someone has pictures also that would be great. I have heard that it may be best to run it thru the steering wheel column where it goes under the dash.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Need year of car.
Typically our accords have a grommet above the gas pedal, you need to peel the factory sound barrier back. Steeetwires makes a nice grommet.
My build log has plenty of wiring pics.

if it is a 7 gen you can pull your kicker panel on the driver side. there is a large grommet right there where all the stock power comes into the car. you can just come in right there and it is a straight short shot to the battery.

Thanks. Its a 2010 Accord if that helps. Alos, is there any suggestion for pulling up the trim(where the bottom of the door sits on) to run the cable from the back seat to the glove box area. How is that removed and it seems very hard to lift and I dont want to break anything.

all the manufacturers power in my car is run under the paneling. there is a deep well where it is run. i ran my power right on top of the stock, heavily insulated factory wiring.

depends on the size of wire. that cavity may be to small for the wires you're running. i like loom on power wire, which increased diameter. if anyone has pics of routing power wire along the sills, please post it!
i went to the corner of the floor, there are holes in the seat rails in a 6th gen
this was a few years ago (when I had less wire)
then up the outside
signal was down the center

fans out for height
then wrapped with felt and taped (to keep it quiet)
speaker wires same on opposite side

then i added more wires to the mix
all processor and signal cables go high, same as before. all wires are in split loom except one Ai-Net cable has tech flex. the RUX-C701 control cable travels up the C-pillar.
more aluminum foil tape to secure the wires. this stuff really works great.
speaker wires come in low, same as before. what i did improve on was the wires' proximity to factory side panels. i had an issue with my two rear sill panels due to the excessive wiring. that problem is solved now.
we split the wires to clear the factory mounts and bolts.
they route on the floor (rear passenger side still needs deadening, i'll just do that when i do my second skin install
the wire is coiled up. the lengths are perfect and the routing is away from the center console (which solves some previous problems. the path is where the factory air duct used to be, so i know there is ample space
