Help in Re-programming the Car Stereo
Hi,
I have a Pioneer DEH-P4700MP which works perfectly okay. When I brought my car for a replacement job of the catalytic converter, the stereo could no longer play music.
The mechanic who performed the job, specifically told me that the stereo needs to be reprogrammed. At this moment, when I power up the car stereo, it runs but without sound. I really have no idea how to re-program this or fix this.
What should I do, to re-program this unit back to its usual self? Please help.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards,
Luke

RE: Help in Re-programming the Car Stereo
First the mechanic is an idiot!
Ok, that's said. If you have no amp then he some how pinched one of the speaker lines and grounded it out. If you have an amp running everything then check the main fuse at the battery for the amp or check the power line to make sure it is not cut somewhere along the way.

lol.....................haha...yea your mechanic f ed up your radio real good....let us know which shop you went to so that we all know NEVER to go there. maybe it just needs the reset code which should have come with the deck...or you can call pioneer and have the serial number ready and they may be able to help you.....the funny thing is though......he should have never touched ANYTHING that has to do with the radio....even the battery
