Just joined this site and new into the car modifications, but i was wondering if there was a way to get steering wheel controls or a steering wheel with controls, so i can control my stereo in my 1996 accord...anyone ever heard of this before?

Welcome. I'll move this over to the A/V Electronics section - they'll probably know something.

WHAT AFTERMARKET RADIO ARE YOU USING? (caps sorry)

Some brands like Pioneer have small remotes that mount on the wheel.\

I have wanted to like them more but the one made for my radio I do not like enough to buy it.

Well when that Boss unit breaks if you buy a Pioneer or Kenwood unit you can get a small remote that mounts to the steering wheel.

you could go to a salvage yard, snag the steering wheel controls from that accord, mount them on your steering wheel and run wiring to the HU. then buy the PAC SWI-JACK to interface between the factory controls and the HU. then buy an HU that is compatible with factory steering wheel controls. Pioneer, JVC, Alpine, Kenwood, etc.
