I own a 2004 Honda Accord year of manufacture, 2.4L petrol, CL9 engine and the cd changer unit with climate control and display failed. I bought a unit from a 2006 Honda Accord year of manufacture but diesel. After mounting it I noticed that the air conditioning part does not work and also the touch display does not seem to be calibrated. there is someone in this forum who encountered this problem and how he solved it. thank you in advance

 

There are differences in how the HVAC units are controlled. Swapping different years/trim levels doesn't usually work out well.

Best bet is to just ditch the factory replacement idea and buy the appropriate aftermarket mounting kit and an aftermarket radio. You can gain Bluetooth with this option as well.

 

thanks for the answer. I will try to move the air conditioning module from the non-functional unit to the functional one. (I want to keep the original even if it doesn't work on western europe). I hope to solve it this way. : AUX command must be found in the processor pin and audio inputs.
