So i have installed many HUs before BUT in the accord you can not take out the dash. Or so I thought until I found a new dash piece that replaces it. I read the reviews and they were all awful. Is there any other out there besides this one. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1209978...r.html?tp=3486
I know I can put them into the underneath cubby but I would really like to get rid of the factory stereo. Someone help. t00fat got any ideas?

Sorry to say but right now that is the only option, and I don't see any other manufacturers making their own now with the 8th gen out. It's really not as bad as people say, but its definitely isn't worth the $150 it usually goes for. I've had mine for about 2 years now and have had no problems. One nice thing about it is if you can solder, it is real easy to change out the LEDs. I've been wanting to do for it ages, but I have never gotten down and done it. The lower cubby kit sucks for a HU, it couldn't be in a worse position.

If you haven't gotten your HU yet, crutchfield has a deal going on, where when you get the HU from them you can get that metra kit for $75. Which is a damn good deal, and really about what it's worth. They sell for so much because there is no other option and people will pay for it. Where is anarchism when you need it?

I already have my Head Unit. I have an alpine. Not sure of the model number. So you have it and have not had any problems?

None what so ever, all my buttons work and click smoothly, and my ***** are perfect. Usually the problems with stuck buttons can be resolved by loosening that back screws just a bit or just opening it up and getting to the button. But I haven't had problems like that.
