I didn't know if this should go under appearance or electronics. So if this is in the wrong forum, sorry.

Default RE: which light would be brighter?

Neither one has a lumens rating so it's impossible to say for sure, I think the first one would disperse light better though....

The first one is a few regular LEDs and the second is one high current super flux LED. Honeslty they are probably about the same. A single Super flux LED is much brighter then a single LED, but I'm not sure one super flux is brighter then 6 regular LEDs. I replaced all the lights in my car with super flux LEDs but I used 4 super flux LEDs for each light and they are super bright. I don't know where u can buy them premade, but I made my own with super flux LEDs I bought of the internet. Another nice thing about LEDs they don't dim like halogens so you won't even notice the dimming if you've got a high powered audio system. The halogens in my doors dim a bit when my bass hits, but the LEDs don't.

EDIT: I also noticed your looking for blue. Different color LEDs put out different amounts of light for example red LEDs tend to be the dimmest and white being the brightest. Blue is around the middle, some brands are very dim and other have a nice bright blue. You've got to do your research with blue b/c a lot of companies sell "blue" LEDs when they are really "blueish green" and look like crap. You want a site that will give you specs on the LEDs so you know your getting what you want. Check for Lumens (MCD) and color temperature (Kelvin or K). For MCD at a bare minimum 2000mcd and for color look for anything close to 9000k

Hey I Atually Purchased The Lights From TunerDomes.Com, I have to say i was pretty impressed. I Used to have some dome lights that i bought from autozsone. I posted a before and after picture. The exact same picture. Its just the autozone lights don't show so well.
