well the price for a stocknav for 05 is about 900 with shipping

for the same price with shipping you can get a deck that plays movies and has nav, and can read dvd +/-r's

I am surprised its that cheap for a new unit. I doubt it is plug and play though like the ad says. I would think you'd need some type of antenna, unless its already installed...

Boo... don't use the garmin!!! The Honda navi has a bigger screen and it doesn't look like an eye-sore on your dash.

I can say first-hand that if you wait around, you can find all the parts you need off ebay for under $1000 - thats the head unit, upper vent panel with subdisplay, dvd navigation ecu (in trunk), and the navigation dvd. Lastly, you'll need a wire harness to connect everything together. Is it plug and play? Absolutely - but only if you have the plug'n'play wire harness

Still interested? Check my site out.

Also, for anyone reading... I have all the connectors for the wire harnesses in stock finally. It took me nearly 3 months, but I have them now. I'll be launchinga storeon my site soon so that you can buy what you need easily.

Default jhowkins your site doesn't work

your site geekeng.com doesn't work. Have you given up on this upgrade or completed it and never really did a write up for it? I would maybe be interested in buying a harness but i also need more information on doing this project and it seemed your website was the place to go.
Also would it be possible to search the junkyards to find the dvd rom, head unit, and/or even this wire harness everyone talks about being so hard to find/expensive and ripping it out of a accord with the navi?
