Default New Radio for my 1998

The radio in my 1998 Accord is almost dead and I have no idea what I should replace it with. I was thinking about spending around $500-$600 dollars. I don't need a ton of base so subwoofers are last on my list. I'm more interested in something that looks and sounds good. I haven't installed a radio system since I was in high school.

A new stereo is always a fun time. What are need to know going in on looking for a headunit is what features are you looking for? HD radio, ipod connectivity, ect. Spending $500-$600 is going to get you something real real nice for a headunit, however its only going to sound as good as your speakers. If they are factory your only trying to get a $3000 sound by wasting $600. For $600 budget you'll have enough for a nice new headunit and 4 speakers. You'd be happy with doing that. Alpine, Eclipse and Pioneer in my opinion are the best sounding headunits. Speakers are something you're going to want to go to some audio shops and listen to see what your ears like best.
