Default Question about External DVD Player

Hey there HF,

I actually have an 07 Accord V6 w/Navi and I wanted to install an external dvd player so I'd be able to watch dvds through the Navi screen. I have the converter I guess it would be called for the screen and I've had that installed but the question I had was instead of going through an fm modulator (because I've that installed previously and the noise is unbearable) is there any way to go around that maybe? I do have the xm/aux button but the aux isn't accessible.

1 other thing. Before when I had the dvd player set up they put it in the worst place possible. (Beneath the steering wheel towards the left, right below the fuse box so I'd kick it getting in or out of the car). I wanted to put a dvd player maybe below the navi in the storage component and have the lid removed but that would look weird. Is there anything I can purchase that'll give me that clean look? I'm sorry if I don't make any sense. Kind of new to trying to get my car looking right.

Oh and I'm looking for another DVD player as well so I'll take some recommendations on that too!
THANKS!

Metra sells a single DIN kit for the pocket below the factory radio that looks nice - it would be perfect for the DVD player mounting.

PAC-Audio.com or USAspec.com have interfaces that will give you a true AUX input - and more than one of you want.

Additional DVD players and recommendations depend on the intended use and expectation. what do you need for access? where are the screens? where is the audio? who is the viewing audience? there are a lot of options and a lot of products for a wide variety of situations.

Okay so I don't mean to be ignorant and since I still am a noob to this whole thing. Did you mean like metra.com?

The DVD player I want should be able to play mp3s and just be of good quality. I'm not looking for the best out there but a good one that's also reliable.

I'm thinking of getting tvs in the headrests so maybe for them also. Right now I just have 1 screen in the front which is the navi/tv screen.

The viewing audio are just friends and adults in general.

Sorry if I didn't answer any of your questions, didn't mean not to!

your response is fine, don't worry.

metraonline.com has the kits listed for your vehicle, just use the fit guide.

JVC has some inexpensive DVD players that are decent quality.

you'll need to decide if you want everyone to see the same image from the same DVD player - easy, or if you want separate front/rear zones (more difficult and expensive). you'll need a video/audio splitter to feed three screens from one unit - it will be active (powered).

Thanks KHA,

Seems like you're the only one answering questions around here. So I was searching this forum for others that had a similar problem like mine and someone said crutchfield had some good products. I'm basically looking for that DIN kit you suggested. I think it'd be a great fit. I do want all 3 screens to play the same thing, if they don't like it, sucks for them lol.

Quick question, in your opinion what is the BEST external dvd player out there? In terms of being able to play MP3s, DVDs, USB access maybe?

So far I'm thinking of getting the DIN kit, the Grom audio kit that keeps my xm and navi working and also gives me the ipod and aux. I was just wondering though, once I connect the external dvd player will the 6 disc cd changer still work? I was kinda hoping the cd changer works and with the aux maybe I can connect it to the dvd player and have that work through the aux as well maybe? Make sense?

Thanks for all your help!
